The place where it began, framed by hand
Pin any address in the world - the bar in Camden, the bench in Brighton, the corner you waited on in a city you don't live in anymore. The designer above centres a custom map on that exact spot. Add a date, the coordinates, a short line. We print it on museum-grade matte paper and hand-frame it in London. The gift arrives ready to hang.
A "where we met" map turns a place into a piece of furniture. First-date anniversary, the spot you got engaged, the venue you said yes in front of - printed in the typography and colour palette you choose, framed in real wood, on the wall before the anniversary.
About
What is a "where we met" map print?
A personalised map print centred on a meaningful location - the spot you first met, the venue you got engaged, the road outside the flat you moved into together. The designer plots any address worldwide, you choose the zoom and the style, then add a date and a short dedication. The print captures one place, one moment, one couple.
The first-anniversary gift, made properly
Paper is the traditional first-anniversary gift. A hand-framed map of where you met is paper at its highest form - a piece the recipient frames, not forgets. We've made these as wedding gifts, engagement gifts, first-anniversary presents, and "the place we said goodbye and hello again" prints. Add the date, the coordinates, a single line - and keep it short so the place stays the focal point.
Designed live, printed and framed in London
The map above is rendered live as you type. Pick the address, the zoom, the colour palette, the typography. Switch between styles to find the one that suits the room it'll hang in. We print on 310gsm matte paper with fade-resistant pigment inks and hand-frame in real-wood mouldings in London. If you'd rather we design the print for you, send the address to hello@theposteredit.com and we'll send a proof before printing.

General
What is a "where we met" map print?
A personalised map print centred on a place that matters - the spot you met, the venue you got engaged, the road you both grew up on. The designer plots any address worldwide and the print captures that exact location, framed by hand in London.
Can I map any address in the world?
Yes - any address, anywhere. The designer above lets you search for an address or drop a pin on the map. The print captures whatever the map shows on screen, so position it exactly how you want before ordering.
What style or colour options do you have?
Multiple map styles - minimalist, vintage, modern, monochrome - plus colour palettes you can adjust live. The designer above lets you switch and preview every combination before ordering. Pick the one that suits the room it'll hang in.
Can I add coordinates, a date, or a quote?
Yes. Add the coordinates of the place, the date, the city name, or a short line - "where we met", "the night you said yes", or a lyric. Keep it short, under twelve words, so the map stays the focal point.
Is it a good first-anniversary gift?
Paper is the traditional first-anniversary gift, and a hand-framed map of where you met is one of our most-given anniversary prints. Works equally well for engagements, weddings, and one-year-together milestones.
Are the prints framed?
Every Poster Edit map print is hand-framed in London in a real-wood moulding with conservation-grade mounting. Choose your frame and mount in the designer.
How long does delivery take?
Hand-framed orders dispatch within a few working days. For specific deadlines, drop us a note at hello@theposteredit.com and we'll confirm before you order.
