Large framed photo prints, made by hand in the UK

Upload any photograph and we will print it on archival 310gsm cotton-rag paper at a statement size — 18 inches by 24 inches, 24 inches by 32 inches, or 60cm by 80cm — and hand-frame it in our UK studio. The cards above let you pick the framed finish that suits the image: traditional mount, oversized mount, float mounted, or our largest gallery-style frame.

How large is large?

A large framed photo print, in our catalogue, starts at 18 inches by 24 inches (45cm by 60cm) and goes up to 24 inches by 32 inches (60cm by 80cm). These are statement-piece sizes — for a feature wall, above a sofa, or a single image you want to dominate the room. If you need larger still, get in touch and we will quote bespoke.

Why hand-frame, why us?

Large framed prints are where high-street labs cut corners — thin mouldings, glued backing boards, glass that warps under its own weight. We hand-frame in solid Italian wood mouldings with conservation mounts and shatter-resistant acrylic glazing. Built to hang for decades.

HOW IT WORKS

Made by hand, finished like a gallery.

Gallery-scale sizing

Sizes built to anchor a wall — large enough to become the focal point of a room, not lost in it. Live preview in the designer above lets you see exactly how the image will sit in the frame at full scale.

Conservation mount, solid wood frame

Conservation-grade mount board with a hand-cut window. Frame built to size from Italian solid-wood mouldings. Acrylic glazing as standard. No MDF, no plastic.

Archival paper, pigment inks

310gsm cotton-rag paper. Acid-free, fade-resistant, with pigment inks calibrated for full tonal range. The same paper used by museums and limited-edition print houses.

About

Large framed photo prints sized to anchor a wall. Upload your photograph and we will print it on archival 310gsm cotton-rag paper, mount it on conservation-grade card, and hand-frame it in solid wood. Gallery-scale sizes — the kind of finish you usually only see in a private commission.

Why go large?

A large framed photograph stops being decoration and starts being the focal point of the room. Above a fireplace, over a sofa, opposite a stairwell — at this scale a single image carries weight that smaller prints cannot. The card mount adds breathing room around the photograph; the solid-wood frame anchors it on the wall.

Built for the scale

Large prints reveal every flaw in the source image and every shortcut in the printing. We do not take either. Archival 310gsm cotton-rag paper, pigment inks calibrated for full tonal range, conservation card mount, and a wood frame built to size — not cut down from a stock moulding. Acrylic glazing as standard so the surface stays flat regardless of room temperature.

Made in the UK

Printed, mounted and framed in our UK studio. No outsourcing, no shipping a flat-pack frame from a warehouse. Each large framed photo print is built to order from the wood mouldings up.

01

Sizing

How large can a framed photo print go?

The Large Framed Photo & Mount product is sized for gallery-scale wall display. Standard large sizes cover the most common requests; for bespoke larger sizes contact us before ordering.

Will my phone photo work at this size?

Modern phone cameras typically produce files large enough for a large framed print, but image quality matters more than pixel count. If you're unsure, upload the image in the designer above — we can advise on whether the file will hold up at the size you want before you order.

Is the frame strong enough for the size?

Yes. We build large frames from heavier solid-wood mouldings specifically rated for gallery-scale prints. Conservation mount, acrylic glazing, and proper hanging hardware included.

02

Paper, frames, finish

What paper do you print on?

310gsm cotton-rag paper as standard — archival, acid-free, with fade-resistant pigment inks. The same paper used by museums and limited-edition print houses.

Is the frame real wood?

Yes. Solid-wood mouldings from Italian suppliers, hand-finished and built to size in our UK studio. No MDF, no plastic.
