About our specialist photo print finishes

Photo print finishes most labs don't offer

High-street photo labs print and frame at scale. They do one finish, well, cheaply. We do the finishes they can't — float mounting, deckled edges, panoramic framing — because each piece is built by hand in our UK studio. If your image deserves something other than a plain print behind glass, this is the section to look at.

Float mounting — the fine-art finish

Float mounting fixes the print on top of the backing board, not behind a mat. The edges of the print are fully visible, with a shadow gap around them — the print appears to float inside the frame. It's the same finish used for limited-edition art prints and museum photography. See our float mounted photo prints.

Deckled edges — the limited-edition look

A deckled edge is the irregular, hand-finished paper edge you'd see on a fine-art print. Most labs can't produce one. We can — and on a float mounted print it becomes a visible part of the finished piece. Available as an optional finish on our float mounted prints.

Panoramic and wide-format framing

Panoramic frames are notoriously hard to source — most retailers stock standard A-size and inch-size frames only. We build pano frames to size in our studio. See our framed panoramic photo prints.

Framed digital art and photo files

Have a digital photo, AI-generated artwork, or an illustration you bought as a download? Upload the file and we'll produce it as a hand-framed print. See our framed digital art prints.
