Ten years. Real aluminium, real metal.

The 10th wedding anniversary is tin in the old tradition and aluminium in the modern one — both pointing at the same idea: a lightweight metal that doesn't tarnish, doesn't dent, doesn't rust. After ten years that is what marriage starts to look like in the gift list. Our matt-black, brushed champagne-gold and brushed copper frames are made from anodised aluminium — real metal, anodised for colour and corrosion resistance, then cut and mitred by hand in our London studio.

The print inside is yours. Map of where you live. Star map of the wedding night. Lyrics print of the song that has stuck. Photo of the ten-years-younger version of you both. The aluminium tradition holds the meaningful thing in real metal.

About

Tin or aluminium — and why we go with real metal either way

The 10th wedding anniversary has two materials depending which list you read: tin (traditional UK and US) and aluminium (modern US list). The two metals are spiritually the same gift — lightweight, soft, doesn't rust, doesn't tarnish, easy to shape, lasts forever — which is why the modern list updated tin to aluminium as the material became more common in household objects.

We don't stock tin frames (tin moulding cracks at the corners — it isn't a good framing material), but our anodised aluminium frames hit the spirit of the tradition exactly. Solid metal. Surface anodised for colour and corrosion resistance, the same finish used on aerospace components and high-end cookware. The matt-black version reads modern, the brushed champagne gold reads warm, the brushed copper reads sentimental.

01

General

Is the frame really aluminium?
Yes — solid anodised aluminium moulding. Real metal, not chrome-plated plastic or aluminium-look paint.
What colours do you do?
Matt black, brushed champagne gold and brushed copper. All three are anodised aluminium with different surface finishes.
What's the difference between tin and aluminium for the 10th?
Traditional UK and US lists say tin, modern US list says aluminium — they're the same idea (light, soft, non-rusting metal). Tin doesn't frame well so we use aluminium.
How long does a framed order take?
5-7 working days — every aluminium frame is cut to size for the order rather than pulled from stock.
