Wedding venue photo print

Send us a photo of the venue — the church, the country house, the registry, the cliff edge. We print it on cotton-fibre archival paper and hand-frame it in our London studio. The honest alternative to watercolour sketches.

The venue, as it actually was

Most personalised wedding-venue prints on the market are watercolour illustrations: a sketch artist takes your photo and re-interprets the building in pastel washes. That's beautiful — and a totally legitimate gift — but it isn't for everyone. Some couples want the venue as it actually was, in the actual light of the actual day, on archival paper, framed in real wood.

That is what this is. Upload a photo of the venue at checkout (any decent-quality phone shot or wedding photographer file works), choose a size and a frame, and we print it on 310gsm cotton-fibre archival paper and hand-frame it in our London studio. No sketch queue, no email proofs.

HOW IT WORKS

Made by hand, finished like a gallery.

Send us the photo

Phone shot, drone shot, wedding photographer file — upload at checkout. Minimum resolution 2000px on the long edge for an A3, larger for bigger sizes.

Cotton-fibre archival paper, 310gsm

Museum-grade matte. Fade-resistant pigment inks. The kind of paper that holds up under direct light for decades.

Hand-framed in London

Solid oak, walnut and anodised-aluminium mouldings — cut and joined for the order, not pulled from stock frames.

About

Why photo, not watercolour

The wedding-venue print market is mostly watercolour illustrations — Letterfest, Keepsakes by Rebecca, Hayley & Co, the Etsy and Notonthehighstreet rosters. The sketch route is good if you want a softened, painterly version of the building. It is not the only good answer.

A photographic print captures something a sketch cannot: the light of the actual day, the bunting that came down the next morning, the way the sun fell on the porch. On archival paper, framed by hand, that becomes a wall-piece that holds the day as it was, not as it was re-imagined.

It is also faster — there's no artist queue, so it ships in 5-7 working days hand-framed rather than the 3-4 weeks a custom watercolour usually takes.

General

What kind of photo do I need to upload?
A clear daylight shot of the venue's main face. Phone photos from a good angle work fine — minimum 2000px on the long edge for A3, more for larger sizes. We'll email you if the file is too small.
Can you remove people, scaffolding, or fix the sky?
Light corrections (straightening, brightness, removing a stray bin) are included. Larger retouching is a flat £15 addon at checkout.
How long does it take?
5-7 working days hand-framed. Express options at checkout.
How does this compare to the watercolour-illustration prints I've seen?
Different gift. Watercolour sketches are an artist's interpretation; ours is the actual photo printed on archival paper. Both are valid — pick the one that fits the couple.
